Well, haven't been here in a while! So, not going to make any excuses, I'm just going to post some fic. My lovely friend Karen from SSB posted a "First Sentence Challenge". In other words, she wrote the first sentence and we had to write the rest of the fic.
"Secret rendezvous, she suddenly realized, were only fun when they stayed secret." That's the quote, and here's the fic!

There's a couple of SV stories, a couple of SW stories, and one crossover that I'm almost embarrassed to mention.
Anyway, I'm almost finished with one of the SW stories (started posting it over at SSB already, in fact) so I will be putting it up soon.
Also, I really need to update my website!

All right, so not too bad overall. That's actually a lot better than I've done at keeping resolutions in the past. So, all that being said, here's my list of resolutions for 2008.
Wish me luck, y'all!!

Wow, that's actually a little more than I'd thought I'd written. It's been a little slow since I started working, as writing time has become more scarce. But I hope to do better in 2008!

Wow, I hadn't realized it had been so long since I posted on this thing! Life has just been really busy, especially since I started working full-time again. By the time I get home, get Jacob if I have him that day, get homework done, get dinner, get him ready for bed...I'm ready for bed myself! I've fallen asleep on the couch before the ten o'clock news comes on more times than I can count.
I have managed to find a little time for writing, as I'm thisclose to being finished with Whisper Your Weakness, as in I'm working on the epilogue now! I also was able to finish a story for the h_d holidays challenge, and that marks my first ever HP story, so I was quite proud of myself for that.
I had a birthday recently! I turned 41 on the 21st of November, and it wasn't nearly as traumatic as when I turned 40, LOL. Guess I've gotten used to being 'in my forties' now or something.
I had a great Thanksgiving with all my family. In fact, I did most of the cooking! I roasted a turkey, made stuffing, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, fudge, and I tried something new...an apple crisp! It went over great, apparently, as everything was gobbled up by my family.
I was stressing for quite a while (after all the stress of Jacob's surgery!) over my state exam for certified medical assistant, which was on October 26th. I was MIA for everything for about two weeks prior to that, trying desperately to cram back in all the info that had leaked out of my brain in the last 18 months. I won't find out if I passed for 12 weeks, though, and that's stressful enough on its own!
And of course, I now have a really awful cold, so I'm hacking and coughing and blowing my nose every five minutes. Here's hoping that goes away quickly.
Anyway, just a bit of catching up, and I'm not even going to say that I'll try to do better about keeping up with this from now on, cause Lord knows it would be a humongous lie!
